Permits Required for Outdoor Projects

Building permits are required for all fences, accessory buildings (sheds, detached garages), decks, pavilions, outdoor fireplaces, patios, pools, retaining walls over 4 feet high, drainage systems in yard, driveway resurfacing or replacement, etc.

This is not a complete list. Please contact the Building Official with your project to determine if a permit is required.

Permits for Other Work

Property owners are required by law to obtain a permit or “license” for work on their properties that require permits. Please call the Building Department with any questions you may have regarding if a permit is required for the work at your property, or if one was obtained by your contractor.

All submittals to the Planning Commission must be made at least two weeks prior to the meeting of the Planning Commission at which action is desired
