Review Police and Service Hours

          Hours are within expected limits

All service department equipment is in good repair.  The Service Dept has begun brush and branch pickup.

Dale reported that he ordered 1000T of salt for next year.  The parameters for purchase have changed.  It used to be that you could receive 80% to 120% of your order at the same price.  It has been changed to 90-110%

Old Business

We continue to investigate the possible use of Narcan-Naloxone by our police.

New Business

We had a presentation from Mark Vedder regarding the Chagrin Southeast Haz-mat response team.  Bentleyville is the only community in the region that is not part of this regional agency.  There is an annual fee of $3500.  If we were to have an incident in  the community, they would respond, but the fee would be $10,000.  We will continue to discuss our possible participation.

The Chief presented a rationale for the addition of 24 part time hours per week.  He explained that he views this as an issue of officer safety and training.  We will explore this further.

Meeting adjourned: 10:20
